Bloom

Credit: The book of Tea, Okakura Kakuzo

Where the leaves had fallen
And then born anew with the breeze of spring
The buds have received their share of nutrients and pollutants
Anxiously waiting to overcome all hardship
To bloom to their eternal, fleeting spring
The flowers in waiting
Sowed with the seeds of expectation
Descended upon the seeds of worry
As they could not bear to be tulips nor marigolds
The path of the rose comes to few
But the journey’s end ends a beautiful flower
Dear buds of the future
Your time as simple buds will come to their conclusion
To cherish a moment of your growth
Is all your withering flowers need
